Really beautiful game. Easily one of the most original, interesting, and engrossing escape games I've played.

One thing that didn't make sense to me though... how am I supposed to know which liquid to put in which glass on the table? In the walkthrough you seem to gesture to the sketches on the wall as though they're some sort of hint, but I don't see how they could be. And I wouldn't expect it to be guess-and-check either because that's over 200 combinations to try.

Regardless, hope to see more stuff with this level of originality and artistry in it!

Wow you nailed this game. I admit after my first attempt I was repulsed, because it made me feel almost nauseous with the fear and uncertainty. But I had to go back for more rounds... and I quickly realized that that's exactly what you were going for. The expressions, the characters, the shaky screen (and holy cow the faint images of your dead opponents in the later rounds? Fucking genius.) were all perfect. While this game was as far from enjoyable as possible, I applaud you for getting me so invested that I felt like I was playing the game for real. The orange puns throughout were not only a nice touch, but I think they are what make the game playable. If we didn't get constant reminders of just how ridiculous it is that the characters are oranges, then this game might actually become dangerous for the player's mental health.

So, five stars for a flawless delivery, and minus half a star because that flawless delivery made me sick to my stomach. I hope I can actually enjoy your next game, because I'm sure you'll do it perfectly too.

What a strange, great game. Only disappointed it ended so quickly! Please bring us more bizarre, entertaining games, but longer next time! :)

Kinda Brilliant

Wow I love the premise of this. the total originality of this as a game, and the fact that for some people its really not too far from the truth make this really amazing. although the use of the mouse as the only control made moving around difficult at times, i still liked the interface. the frantic gameplay necessary to survive makes it really involving, and it really becomes about the strategy of how to best keep both bars up while having time for urges and challenges, and still making plenty of points.

love it. definitely make more.

im sure its great but..

you say that the 'A and D' keys work like the arrow keys, but they dont. and while its not really a reflection on your game, my arrow keys dont work right now, and so without the A and D keys i cant play. However, based on your first game and other reviews, im sure id give it a ten if i was actually able to play. so please get the alternate controls in there and ill be back!

Sorry for mispelling that, thank you!

ugh, what an almost good idea

Obviously this has been done a million times before, i have absolutely no problem with that. and giving excellent graphics to a classic game is a great idea. the reason i didnt like this at all was because the gameplay was oh...so....dull. it may be that the game gets better past level 5 or so, i was so bored i quit at that point, and im sorry for judging it so fast, but with a game this used up you need to really grab the player right away. all the obstacles were horribly slow, the first five levels gave no challenge whatsoever. one warm-up level i can understand, but 5? or more? i still give you props for the graphics, and for the fact that other reviewers seem to think it gets better at some point, but i couldnt make myself go through with it.

pretty nice

hey i just reviewed ball revamped:: duo, and now just looking at your other stuff. This is pretty good, i like how you took an old concept of generally avoiding stuff and just went all out with asterisks and lasers, etc. i think this game could be way better with a just a couple of improvements: first, a purpose! have a goal you have to get to, like an item that you need to get every five seconds to stay alive, and another pops up somewhere else when you get to it. second, a 'follow' enemy. some sort of attacker that can track you and follow you around the field. but still, decent game, i like it.

just to repeat from my other review, i still want to see some original, interesting graphics in your games.

Thanks, and i fixed some bugs on Ball Revamped :: Duo.
I wont continue Avoid V3, because i lost the .fla file.
V3 have levels, more enemies, obstacles...
but i lost the .fla file =(

a decent tribute

this game was ok, but considering the idea, graphics, and animations were all someone elses, the only thing i can judge is the programming, which was pretty lacking. the gravity seemed a little too light, making it easier than i should have been, and the elements were pretty messed up. first of all, picking up an element required slowing down and hitting it dead-on, which could be difficult or annoying. second, elements couldnt combine, like in the actual game. if i picked up a red, then a green, id just end up small, as if the red never happened. also, im not sure you got all the elements right, like red turning you black, or yellow... well, doing nothing. i might be wrong about that, though youd probly know better than me, assuming youve played ball revamped recently. really, the only highlight of this game was that it was based on a great game, and your contributions dont seem to have added much of any value to it.

sorry to be so harsh, and i know youre 11, but your age really shouldnt affect how people rate the quality of your flash. im just giving constructive criticism, which believe me is a lot better than most of the response youre gonna get on newgrounds.

id like to see what you could do making something original. even if youre a programmer, not an artist, you could probly find someone to team up with so you can use original graphics but still be a programmer. in fact, im gonna go check out your other stuff right now and see how you do with non-tributes.

Pu-lease, this is a tribute
My computer is laggy, so i tried my best to done this.
And when i export the .swf file, i need to wait 5 minutes!
So, i cant test it!

very nice game

loved the excellent graphics, the simple, enjoyable game play, and the minimal plot. overall, the best way to describe this game would be fun and simple. just a glitch a ran into: in the castle behind the yellow door, after i killed the red robot thing, the upgrade he dropped disappeared after a moment, making it kinda impossible to finish the game. but still, loved the game, muy bueno, me gusta.

Wow, nice job, definitely a challenge

This is a great game. i love this type of game, and plus you gave it a nice simplicity and style thats uncommon among games like this. after hours and hours (literally at least 4) i finally beat it. and while i desperately hoped you would give up the URL, i finally got it anyway, i would like to do something i normally never do, by giving struggling players a few hints. if you the author would rather i not, then feel free to delete this. otherwise, here ya go:
-the code is used twice
-the giant screw is used (height does kinda matter)
-the fetus is only used once
-you need to use more than the enertron on a pod to complete the game
-putting the white "kettle" thing on the faucet fills it with water

note: im still not quite sure what makes the robot comes out of its orb.

oh and a note for the creator: there are quite a few glitches/mistakes in here that mostly are just annoying, but sometimes screw the game up:
-sometimes if you use the enertron, then change screens and come back, one of the items used in it is gone.
-after using the screwdriver, clicking it anywhere on the screen where it was used repeats the action from when you used it.
-trying to use an item on the right place at the wrong time puts the item there, but without changing its picture.
-there are others, just see if you can clean em up. but otherwise, excellent game, nice job.

Lazarou responds:

Good Job, and thanks for reporting those bugs. I tried to test for bugs as much as possible before I released it, but I guess a couple will always sneak through undetected into the final versions.
