why was that awesome?

i dont understand why... but i loved it. it was short, odd, kinda creepy, with good artwork, but overall, i just really enjoyed watching it. i can tell it was just for art, cuz technically taht and the kinda funny "fantastic!" line were the only good parts of this. honestly, i think you did a bad job as far as making a flash goes, but i just had to give you a 4 cuz it was so fun to watch. it was just weird and quirky, in a way that made me really happy to watch it. had to watch it twice to make sure i had seen correctly, cuz it was strange as all hell, but still good. wow, make more.

wow surprisingly great

when i first saw this, what i saw was: no blood, madness tribute, and for some reason turned in 4 months early. didnt expect much, and i still think its strange that you submitted it so ridiculously early. maybe couldve kept working and made it a two-part movie? i dunno. but gotta say i did really love it. the no blood was a bit of a let down, but as i was watching, i realized that when you stopped relying on blood, you put more work into the moves, the style, and overall the quality of the fights. i like how you put your own spin on hank, by changing his fighting style. instead of the usual hank, who always multitasks by fighting 3 or 4 people at once, but does it all very smoothly and calculatedly, the way you pulled it off here is a a hank which does each thing very swiftly, takes care of it, moves on, so its just one after the other, very quickly. he wastes no time, and the effect it has is very involving. i want to watch everything he does so i dont miss anything, and it really got me into it. and the stuff he did was just great. i loved seeing him easily mount an enemy's head on the end of his club, but i just wish that he would have used that somehow, maybe kept fighting, hitting people with the head on the end. there were some great moves in there, none of which i can remember right now, but i loved them. overall, great job, you really pulled off a bloodless madness. but still, 4 months early? anyway, loved it, nice job.

JonBro responds:

Thanks!
I'm glad some people aren't overly obsessive over blood.

finalmente, mio dios!

thank god there's finally an NG group that isnt dedicated to spamming the portal. while the animations werent very good (the second one seriously sucked, and the third one.... well its just not nice to make fun of dead people), i protected you cuz you guys have a good message: no more portal spamming! but keep in mind i only protected you this once out of relief. im hoping for better animations from now on, and most of all, never start spamming the portal!
go apes!

alright, here's a real review

after noticing the dumb first review you got, i took pity and decided you needed an actual review. so, heres what i think:

sprite movies overall, are pretty over done and dull. and sorry to say, yours is no exception. when doing a sprite music video, if you just take a literal interpretatoin of the lyrics (like going through an open door) then its just gonna be boring. what id like to see is you shwoing mario going on some interesting journey or something. music videos can have plots too. and in general id advise against sprite movies, but if you wanna stick with it, then jsut try to make it more involving. of course it was a good song though.

honestly, i blammed this. but id like to see some improvement from you in the future.

wierdtails responds:

(Sigh...) and I like sprite videos so much... how could this happen?

wow nicely done

consider it amazing that i liked this movie, because im not at all a fan of naruto. in fact, it kinda bugs me. but the way you did this, with the great animation, and just completely ridiculous versions of naruto characters, i thought it was pretty damn funny. definitely a 4/5, very well done.

hooray!!! if only you could of read the comics X3

adrenaLINNNNN

oh holy shit that got me hella hyped up i kinda loved it i mean even though it wasnt that well done not great animation anywhere or anything and the thing at the end really brought down the quality well the rest just really gave me an adrenalin ruuuuushhh oh man nice. wooh, all in one breath. make more like that, but with more but into it, like animations of stabbers stuck in there. and dont put in random pictures in there, thats just spammer material.

haha pretty funny

gotta say that script got pretty good part way through. Overall, the only reason i enjoyed this was for the script. the animation... was just totally lazy. In fact, it was just drawings being moved around. the animation consisted of mouths, and in the yeti's case, eyes. but as for the script, the two parts i enjoyed were the "meeting" scene (with no chalk), and the credits. Otherwise, the script was pretty boring. and btw, if i ever, EVER, see ONE MORE parody of that kill bill "alarm" thing, i will quite honestly go find the person responsible and pull a Milton. and im sure you know what that means, being the office space fans you are. and the credits, it was funny cuz just at the point where i looked at "credits" on the screen and started to wonder "does this really qualify as credits anymore?", it changed to "credits?", and that made me laugh. the rest of the credits were funny too, just cuz you guys are kinda ridiculous (in a good way). so overall, bad animation, good scripting sometimes, no great achievement, but the drawings were nice, and with some more effort and continuingly funny script, this could get pretty good. keep it up.

FB-Studios responds:

Thank you for actually taking the time to post a real review. We don't get that much actual constructive criticism, just "lol, funny" or "wtf taht waz gai" as for the animation quality, we had time constraints... or at least we did until they changed their minds on us! we showed it to most of the school anyways, by ways of planting dvds at proper teachers' rooms and letting them show it on their projectors (most of the classrooms have fancy-pants projectors, which makes it easier) and putting it up on the school net ...this is getting kinda off topic... damnit, I did it again!

haha nice

wow thought it would suck... a LOT... but it actually made me laugh. the "and get a free ipod!" line was great. you kick the KK(K)'s ass!

SalmonBerryClock responds:

Somebody actually understands!

not horrible..

well it wasnt god-awful, and the drawings were pretty decent. the few things that really bugged me were: the "thinking" voice at the beginning was incomprehendable; at certain points, like when that guy flew in to save him from kermit, it went really slow; the team rocket reference was... well just promise me you wont do that again. overall it wasn't that great, but dont worry, i wont blam you. 2/5. i think with practice, youve got potential.

Axesome!

love it! definitely deserves higher than 5th place.

you are a true genius of clay...well, putty... animations. the smooth, and very creative, way this was done was amazing. plus the incorporation of coins, fingers, etc., while still running smoothly was amazing, especially that you managed that without any of those sudden unexplained changes, or odd choppy abrasions of the putty. it was awesome. love it.
